Korey Lonberger grew up in a tiny farming town in Kansas where life revolved around sports, hard work, and small-town values.

After playing college football, he entered the corporate world and eventually landed a job that most people would consider the dream: great money, flexible hours, and the ability to travel the world.

But even with all of that, something was missing.

When layoffs hit his company, Korey decided to take the risk many people avoid. He emptied his savings, stepped away from corporate life, and began rebuilding his career from scratch in the fitness world.

Today he helps coach people toward a different kind of strength — one that goes beyond the gym.

In this episode we talk about:

• Small town upbringing and family dynamics
 • The anger Korey had to confront early in life
 • His time working as an EMT and the realities of trauma
 • Why chasing optimization can disconnect you from yourself
 • Leaving a comfortable job to pursue a meaningful life
 • What masculinity looks like when it’s grounded in discipline instead of ego

If you’re someone trying to figure out what path to take in life — this conversation might give you a new perspective.
